Engage Students, Enhance Evaluations

Sound Advice - Curated eClips Content

Project: Faculty commonly ask Deborah Streeter, "Can you tell me the best clip for [insert subject matter]?"

Description: Deborah's team culled the 18,000 eClips for the best 5 on a variety of topics. Working with Aaron Kaye, our programmer, we created a new website devoted to displaying the curated content. Talk to us if you would like to create a curated collection in your subject area.

Using Video to Engage Students Outside Class

Project: Senior Lecturer David Lennox wanted to offer an additional lesson on interviewing skills for a new paradigm - Skype Interviews.
Description: We worked with David to come up with a unique way to teach his tips for interviews done over Skype - one that fit his personality and teaching style.  He also knew an in class lesson may not engage his students. His last requirement was to provide this information as a just-in-time lesson. The obvious choice was a video added to Blackboard that the students could access all semester long.

Using Polls in Class

Project: Deborah needed a series of polls to engage her class at specific times.

Description: Using Poll Everywhere ( Pollev.com ) or specific website polls, We have supported 3 faculty with polling for the classroom.
